Fifth Graders Petition To Make Recyling Easier

It began as a school project, but quickly took off.

A group of Wylie Elementary students began a petition to bring curbside recycling in Abilene.

They've already gotten more than 800 signatures, but city officials say it's more complicated than just that.

They would need a company that would not only pick up the recyclables, but sort them out and sell them off. 

The girls are planning to present the petition to city council members.
