Kohler's Toilet Tour campaign, "Trust the Flush", made its first stop in Brownwood Wednesday to present 13 of their new commodes.

The new toilets are 1.28 gallon bowls which use less water than the 1.6 gallon bowls in order to conserve water.

Brownwood Kohler Plant Manager Scott Schaetz explained, "One of our engineers calculated that within six years we could save the amount of water that it would take to fill the lake up if everybody in this area converted to high efficiency fixtures so it can make a big impact."

The company donated high efficiency toilets to Brownwood City Hall in order to promote the benefits of their new products.

"What we are trying to do is show off why our 1.28 gallon bowls can flush just as good if not better than the 1.6 gallon toilets that are out there." said Steven Perlewitz, Kohler product ambassador.

Kohler hopes to see their 1.28 gallon bowls used throughout the United States,

"The whole country and the whole world is getting short on drinkable water," said Steven Perlewitz, "so we want to make sure that that's here for years and years to come."
