The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has released the preliminary autopsy report for the man who was found deceased in his home on Twin Oaks Drive on February 4.
These preliminary findings, with consultation from the ME, suggest that Mr. Green’s death did not involve a criminal offense. The report also reveals trauma consistent with multiple falls and that suspicious trauma was not present.
Toxicology reports are pending, as well as a final autopsy report that will summarize the manner and cause of death.
The status of this case remains a Death Investigation and is not expected to change based on these findings.
As of now, the Abilene police have ruled out homicide in a "suspicious death" investigated earlier today.
It is now believed that the man, who lived inside the home at 6409 Twin Oaks Drive, died due to medical causes. They say it appears he'd been dead inside the home for a few days. Detectives do not believe any foul play was involved, but say the home was in quite the disarray when they arrived on scene earlier this afternoon.
A neighbor discovered the man's body after receiving a phone call from family members asking that the neighbor do a welfare check at the home. The police have released few details about the man, besides that he is in his late 50s and appears to have lived alone.
The Abilene police say they will release his identity once they notify his family, who lives out of state.
