Volunteers Keep Local Food Pantry Running Strong

Keeping a fully stocked food pantry up and running is a task in itself. But when that pantry also offers clothing and counseling for those who need it, one Abilene woman knows just what it takes to keep the operation running as smoothly as possible.

A local Key City food pantry has been helping families in need for well over a decade now. An operation that would be nothing without their dedicated volunteers.

After being a part of this nonprofit organization since 1999, Loys Little decided to become Director of Abilene Baptist Association Social Ministries just a few years ago.

Nearly two dozens local baptist churches donate food and goods to social ministries throughout the year, but with a number of donations also coming in from the public, both the food pantry and their selection of donated clothing have been able to remain up and running.
