Hope Haven Dedicates New Facility to Founder

Jackie Warmsley's Bridge 2 Home Named in Her Honor

ABILENE, Texas (KRBC)-  Local Hope Haven celebrated a big day in honor of their founder, Jackie Warmsley. Warmsley, who had the vision to help others who needed an extra hand, started Abilene Hope Haven in 1987.

After all of her hard work and dedication to serving others, Abilene Hope Haven wanted to make sure she was respected by honoring her in a very special way.

Their newest home called "Jackie Warmsley's Bridge 2 Home" was named in her honor and will be housing families that need a place to stay.  The Red Coats along with members of the community joined Hope Haven for a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony.

Everybody loves Jackie and knows how big of a heart she truly does have.

"When it comes to helping others, Jackie Warmsley is the perfect example. She is a very warm hearted person", stated a family friend of hers.

When Warmsley arrived, she gave a long speech that put people into tears.

"Remember your mistakes, and that will better help you understand the people's mistakes that you are helping", stated Jackie Warmsley.

Warmsley told KRBC's Amber Treybig that she owes everything to God, because without him none of this would be possible.
