2-Alarm Fire Causes Estimated $40,000 in Damages to South Abilene Storage Building

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Abilene Fire Department responded to a fire in south Abilene early Saturday morning.

At approximately 4 a.m. Saturday morning, the Abilene Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm structure fire in the 3200 block of South Treadaway Blvd.

The AFD arrived on the scene to discover heavy fire throughout a commercially owned storage facility. The fire was contained to the storage building and extinguished.

The structure took heavy fire damage, estimated to be around $40,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
