28th Annual City Sidewalks Brings Christmas Cheer to Abilene

It's not that we haven't already seen Santa Clause or that Christmas lights remain dark this late November, but for Downtown Abilene, Christmas is here.

Following Tuesday evening's City Sidewalks, music from choirs and bands, stores open, a parade, and of course the lighting of the community Christmas tree.

This year, like every year, brings a crowd of all ages to Downtown Abilene. For many, this year wasn't the first year, but for others it was.

The sidewalks were so crowded, in some cases standing on the nearest bench was the only way to see!

Each parade goer got a chance to be wowed by local entertainment, some even saw their favorites.

Whether it's cars, lights, music, food, or just enjoying the winter weather with some of your closest friends and family members, many agree that it's the perfect way to kick of the holiday season.
