3 arrested after Coleman PD finds marijuana in backyard

COLEMAN, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Three people have been arrested in Coleman, Texas after marijuana was reported in the backyard of a residence.

According to the Coleman Police Department Facebook page, on Friday, August 11 an anonymous tip led police to a home on Comal Street where multiple marijuana plants, visible from the street, were discovered in the backyard of the address.

A search of the property led to the discovery of 68.3 gram of marijuana, scales, packaging materials and paraphernalia were discovered. The owners, 18-year-old Theophalis Thomas and 17-year-old Nancy Cody, were arrested and booked into the Coleman City Jail on Felony Possession of Marijuana charges.

During the investigation, property resident Robert Thomas, 26, arrived on scene. He was given a procedural pat down which revealed Thomas was in possession of methamphetamine. He was subsequently arrested on 3rd degree Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
