CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Investigators believe wet roads contributed to a crash that killed three people on I-20 in Callahan County Saturday night.
Two drivers, Patrick Randall McDaniel, 39, and Jeremy Matthew Gaspar, 32, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash 14 miles east of Baird just after 8:00 p.m. A passenger in Gaspar's SUV, Terry Ann Hunt, 60, died at the hospital the next day, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety. Another passenger was injured.
The press release states McDaniel was traveling east down the road when his truck hydroplaned, slid into the median, rolled over, and struck Gaspar's SUV.
The cause of this crash is still under investigation.
