Suspect accused of supplying drugs to Madison Middle School teachers arrested

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect accused of supplying drugs to teachers at Madison Middle School has been arrested alongside 2 other drug offenders. 

Marcus Joe Villarreal, 31, Jeffery Charles Lambert, 41, and Esteban Alexander Acosta, 29, were all taken into custody during the investigation on the following charges: 

  • Villarreal 
    • 2F Delivery of Controlled Substance to wit: Heroin
    • 2F Delivery of Controlled Substance to wit: Methamphetamine
    • BM Possession of Marijuana
  • Lambert 
    • 2F Delivery of Controlled Substance to wit: Heroin
    • 2F Delivery of Controlled Substance to wit: Methamphetamine
    • 3F Tampering with Evidence
    • BM Possession of Marijuana
  • Acosta
    • CM Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The men were arrested when a search warrant was executed on 2 rooms at a north Abilene hotel after police received information that one of the suspects supplied illicit drugs to 2 teachers at Madison Middle School, according to a press release from the Abilene Police Department, which states illegal narcotics and paraphernalia were found during the execution. 

At the beginning of November, police revealed they were involved in an investigation at Abilene ISD after receiving reports of students using and selling drugs at Madison.

During the investigation, 2 teachers, who are in a relationship, admitted to using illicit drugs and "implicated a teacher’s aide relating to prescription drugs". Police also learned that "two students were reportedly selling prescription pills that were provided by a cafeteria staff worker," according to a press release.
