4 robberies reported in Abilene over long holiday weekend

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Abilene police investigated 4 reports of robberies over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. 

Reports filed with the Abilene Police Department state the robberies occurred at the following times and locations:

  • Thursday, just after 10:30 p.m., a victim reported 6-7 suspects attacked him with a hammer in a motel room on the 3500 block of S. 1st Street and took his cell phone. 2 of the suspects have been possibly identified. 
  • Friday, around 1:00 a.m., a robbery report was taken at Abilene Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room - a hospitalized victim said a suspect drug him with a car at an undisclosed location on the south side of town then took his money.
  • Friday, just after 2:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered Skinny's convenience store on the 1300 block of S. 14th Street, displayed a firearm, demanded the clerk lay on the ground, then fled after taking an undisclosed amount of property and cash. 
  • Sunday, around 7:45 a.m., 2 victims reported an unknown suspect stole property from them using a deadly weapon. The incident occurred on the 2000 block of N. 7th Street.

No arrests have been made in connection to these robbery reports.
