5.5 pounds of liquid meth, several other drugs seized from Abilene home

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - 5.5 pounds of liquid meth and several other drugs were seized when a search warrant was executed at a west Abilene home Thursday.

Court documents state the following items were seized from the home on the 5000 block of Congress Avenue:

  • 30.7 grams of crystal meth
  • 2406 grams of liquid meth
  • 2.7 grams of cocaine
  • 6.95 ounces of marijuana
  • 9.6 grams of prescription medication
  • a gun
  • packaging material
  • 3 cell phones
  • $436 in cash
  • personal documents
  • drug paraphernalia
  • storage safe
  • security video recorder

The Taylor County Sheriff's Office was assisting the Department of Homeland Security in the arrest of resident Daniel Hernandez-Flores when they smelled and saw marijuana and during a pre-arrest sweep of the property for officer safety, according to the documents.

Hernandez-Flores denied the officers' subsequent request to search the property, so the documents state a search warrant was obtained and the illicit items were seized.

Hernandez-Flores was placed under arrest and is currently being held in the Taylor County Jail on a Federal warrant without bond.

He will be facing additional charges for the drugs seized from his home.
