9 burglaries reported in Abilene over weekend

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Abilene Police Department is investigating 9 burglaries that were reported over the weekend. 

Reports filed with APD state the burglaries happened at the following locations:

  • 4500 block of Marlboro Drive - Just after 8:00 a.m. Friday, a citizen reported someone entered their vehicle through and unlocked door and took a firearm.
  • 2300 block of Westwood Drive - Around 4:00 p.m. Friday, a resident reported someone had entered their home and taken a Washer and Dryer. 
  • 5700 block of Golden Eagle Drive - Just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, a citizen reported someone entered their storage shed and took several items, including a slot machine, washer and dryer, and tools. 
  • 600 block of Vine Street - Just after 12:00 p.m. Saturday, a citizen reported someone had pried open their shed and taken lawn equipment.
  • 1800 Cedar Crest Drive - Just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday, a resident reported someone forced their way inside a home and took several items, including clothing, tools, speakers, and more.
  • 1500 block Woodard Street - Just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, residents reported someone had entered their home through and unlocked door while they were sleeping and took cash and medication. 
  • 300 block of Lollipop Trail - Just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, a citizen reported someone entered his truck through an unlocked door and stole a drivers license, a gun, and a military ID. 
  • 800 block of Grape Street - Just after 2:00 p.m. Sunday, a citizen reported someone forced their way into a vacant home and took two TVs worth $1,200.
  • 4500 block of N. 1st Street - Just after 2:30 a.m. Monday, a business reported someone used bodily force to enter their business. It's currently unknown what was taken.
