A Tea Party Fit for a Queen

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB) - It's Mother's Day and there were a lot of things to do in Abilene to celebrate the one who made you. Some mothers and daughters headed out to the South Branch Library for a Mother's Day tea.

"Basically, it's crafts and time for moms to spend with their kiddos doing something together, having a little bit of snacks," stated Alyssa Crow, Abilene Library South Branch Manager. "Our moms got to drink out of china, although the kids got paper cups, but it was safety first."

Tea, juice and snacks were all set out for families to enjoy. There were even crafts for mother's to do with their little ones.

"We came for tea time and the crafts, just to hang out and have a little bit of mother daughter time, so that was nice," added Marissa Jurkis, a mom who brought her kids to the tea party.

The library says the party was such a hit they plan to do it again next year.
