Abilene Animal Shelter and Rescue the Animals, SPCA Teaming Up for June Sale

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The City of Abilene Animal Shelter and Rescue the Animals, SPCA have teamed up to cut prices and offer rebates during one of the busiest months for the shelter.

June is often the worst month for animals coming into the shelter.  That's why through June 30, the animal shelter and Rescue the Animals have teamed up to offer their Bow Wow, Meow June Sale.

During the month of June, dogs have been marked down from $80, and with a mail-in rebate from Rescue the Animals are now just $40.  Cats were $70, but after the price cut and the rebate they are only $30. The price of the animal includes spaying/neutering, rabies shot, city license, and a microchip.

The Abilene Animal Shelter is located at 925 South Treadaway.  They are open weekdays from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Animals can be viewed online at the City of Abilene website, but the inventory changes often due to the number of new arrivals.
