Abilene Bar Hosting Benefit for Hawley Toddler Killed in Crash

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A benefit will be taking place next Saturday to raise money for the family of a Hawley toddler killed in wreck Sunday night.

Taylynn Cumpton, 2, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at Cook Children's Hospital following the crash on FM 1226 in Jones County just before 9:30 p.m.

Taylynn's mother, Marleigh Patterson, 19, is continuing to recover from serous injuries she sustianed during the crash.

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to close, Legacy Bar at 3450 S. Clack Street in Abilene will be holding a benefit for the family of Taylynn and Marleigh. 100% of all proceeds raised will be donated.

The benefit will feature $10 brisket plates, a bake sale, and raffle items (participants do not have to be present to win). There will also be a donation bucket for anyone who wishes to help the family.

Legacy Bar says they currently need donations for the benefit such as side items to go with the brisket plates and utensils! Raffle item donations, such as gift cards and unique items, are being accepted as well.
