Abilene Chase Suspect Arrested for Another Chase in Clyde

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect involved in a high speed chase through north Abilene Thursday morning was also arrested during another chase in Clyde over the weekend.

Don Lively, of Abilene, was taken into custody after a chase in Callahan County on Saturday. The Clyde Police Department says he had 41 grams of meth in his possession.

Lively was charged with multiple offense for that incident, including Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Livley was involved in a second chase in Abilene Thursday morning.

The chase began near N. 10th Street and Plaza Street just after 11:30 a.m. and ended on the 3600 block of State Street around noon.

KTAB and KRBC were on scene when law enforcement members from the Abilene Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety took the suspect into custody.

Officials with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office say Thursday's chase is also drug-related. They told KTAB and KRBC Lively was throwing drugs out the window during the chase.
