Abilene Father Still Searching for Answers After Son's Disappearance 30 Years Ago

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB) - An Abilene man is still searching for answers 30 years after his son went missing.

Howard Adams says he is hopeful he will see his son again one day.

"All you can do is hope for the best," stated Howard Adams, "and make do with what you have and enjoy life as much as possible."

His son Michael went missing on June 8th 1987 after coming home from work one evening. His step sister says she saw her brother talking to someone in a car outside their home on Peach Street.

"Apparently he ended up in that car for some reason," added Adams. "We don't know why or whether he was forced in the car or what."

The next morning he was gone. No where to be found.

"As soon as I saw he wasn't there, I felt like there was something definitely wrong," Adams said.

The Abilene Police Department has been working this case since day one.

"We can't get our fingers on anything that makes sense," explained Adams. "It's very frustrating you might say."

Adams says his faith is what keeps him going.
