Abilene firefighters climb 110 floors in bunker gear in memory of 9/11

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Some Abilene firefighters climbed 110 floors of stairs while in full bunker gear this weekend in memory of 9/11.

Battalion Chief Derek Briggs, Firefighter Jason Anderson, Firefighter Bryce Channell, and Firefighter Gaylon Rodriguez, with the Abilene Fire Department, as well as Chief Walter Fairbanks wit the Cisco Fire Department, all traveled to Dallas to participate in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. 

Firefighters and other first responders from across Texas joined them and ascended 110 floors of stairs in honor of the men and women who sacrificed their lives on September 11, 2001.
