Abilene ISD Allowing Online Kindergarten Registration for 2017-2018

ABILENE, Texas (PRESS RELEASE) - For the first time, Abilene ISD kindergarten registration is going online. Kindergarten registration for 2017-2018 school year is now available online for all Abilene ISD elementary schools.

Parents wishing to begin the online registration process can go directly to the district’s “Registration”
page at https://www.abileneisd.org/Page/323.

For those wishing for assistance, parents are encouraged to attend one of the four kindergarten registration opportunities to be held May 1-4. AISD staff members will be at Clack and Craig middle schools to assist parents with the process on the following nights:

  • Monday, May 1 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. @ Clack Middle School
    • Bassetti, Dyess, Reagan, Ward
  • Tuesday, May 2 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. @ Clack Middle School
    • Bonham, Bowie, Jackson
  • Wednesday, May 3 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. @ Craig Middle School
    • Johnston, Ortiz, Thomas
  • Thursday, May 4 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. @ Craig Middle School
    • Austin, Lee, Martinez, Taylor

To be eligible for kindergarten registration for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year, the following requirements must be met:

  • Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2017.
  • The parent must have a picture ID, or the legal guardian must have guardianship papers and a
  • picture ID.

Please bring the following items to registration:

  • Birth certificate
  • Social Security card
  • Immunization record (all immunizations must be up to date)
  • Proof of residence (current utility bill or a contract or lease agreement with the name and
  • address of the residence). Note: a driver’s license or bank check with address will not be
  • accepted as proof of residence.

Parents may check with their student’s campus office for future opportunities to complete
registration or for further assistance.
