ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Abilene Kennel Club will celebrate its 60th anniversary during its annual dog show and obedience/rally trials May 18-20, according to an Abilene Kennel Club press release.
More than 800 dogs and their owners will be a part of the show at the Taylor County Coliseum and Display Building each day of the show, according to the release.
Spectators will be able to watch several different breeds perform in the show as well as the trials.
Each day of the event Friday-Sunday will have a different event, with two being held on Friday, according to the release.
On Saturday, the Kennel Club will present a donation to the K-9 Unit of the Abilene Police Department to provide them with new training equipment.
Attendance is free for each day of the event, according to the release. Times for each day are as follows:
- Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Sunday: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
