Abilene man arrested after cross-county chase, brief manhunt

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene man was found in a field then arrested after leading authorities on a chase through Jones and Taylor counties Tuesday morning.

Abel Cisneros, wanted for Evading Arrest and Possession of Marijuana, is now being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $25,000 with more charges pending. 

A press release from the Taylor County Sheriff's Office states Cisneros began to evade arrest in his vehicle near the Anson area of Jones County around 11:30 a.m., leading deputies into Taylor County where he was eventually stopped near FM 3326 off Hwy 277.

Cisneros then took off on foot, according to the press release, which states he was found lying in a field and placed under arrest a short time later.

The Jones County Sheriff's Office, Taylor County Sheriff's Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety all assisted in taking Cisneros into custody.
