Abilene Police Investigating Multiple Reports of Dog Theft

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Two Abilene residents claim their dogs were stolen from their homes overnight on Sunday.

The first report came from a home on the 1700 block of Westview Drive just after 11:00 p.m. The resident told investigators two Chihuahuas and a pitbull were missing from his home, according to a police report, which says
the "victim believes they were stolen and has named a suspect".

A second police report says another Abilene resident made a similar report less than two hours later. Just before 1:00 a.m. Monday morning, Police responded to a home on the 1900 block of N. 18th Street and spoke with a resident who said a known suspect broke in then took his pitbull from outside the home.

The investigations into both reports of dog theft are underway, and there is no indication these incidents are related.
