Abilene Police Searching for "Armed and Dangerous" Shooting Suspect

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The Abilene Police Department is searching for an "armed and dangerous" suspect accused of shooting his mother in the head Friday morning. 

Calvin Dunn, Jr., 21, has been on the run since since allegedly shooting his mother, Rene Crosby, 42, during an altercation at the Abilene North Apartments on the 2400 block of N. Willis Street around 10:00 a.m., according to a press release from the Abilene Police Department. Police are considering him armed and dangerous. 

A press release from police says Crosby sustained a gunshot wound to the head and is in critical condition at Hendrick Medical Center.

Police received a tip that Dunn may have been spotted on the 2000 block of Park Street, but a SWAT team searched the area and was unable to locate the suspect. 

Anyone who knows where Dunn may be located is asked to call 9-1-1.
