AISD Students to Receive Thank You From Across the Globe

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Students from both Abilene High School and Cooper High School will be hearing a very special thank you from across the world.

Jeremy Court, founder and CEO of the Preemptive Love Coalition will be Skyping from Iraq with members of the Abilene High and Cooper High student councils to express his gratitude for their help with fundraising for the Coalition.

Recently the two student councils joined forces to begin a campaign to raise money for the Preemptive Love Coalition by selling t-shirts.  The shirts featured the Preemptive Love Coalition logo, the logos of both high schools and the hashtag #loveanyway in English and Arabic.

The students were able to raise enough to write a check for $1,500.

The Preemptive Love Coalition "provides emergency food, shelter and supplies to those families on the run and lifesaving support to those still behind enemy lines." The Coalition also helps by providing relief efforts such as building homes and digging water wells.

The Students will be receiving the call in the One AISD Center boardroom at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30.
