At least 12 burglaries reported in Abilene since Friday

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) -- At least a dozen burglaries have happened since Friday in Abilene, according to incident reports released by police.

1) Friday, July 28 @ 9:55 a.m. - 3000 block of Catclaw Drive
     More than $450 in items was stolen from a vehicle at the La Quinta Inn. Police said the suspect was able to get into the car through an unlocked door. 

2) Friday, July 28 @ 2:22 p.m. - 2900 block of of South 23rd Street
     A total of $825 in items was stolen from a south side home. The items stolen include a 48-inch TV and a watch. 

3) Friday, July 28 @ 2:22 p.m. - 5600 block of South 1st Street
     Police said a possible-known suspect kicked in a door and stole items while no one was home. Exactly what was taken was not immediately known. 

4) Saturday, July 29 @ 7:59 a.m. - 1800 block of Cedar Crest Drive
     Three suspects were seen inside a vacant north side home. The suspects fled after being confronted by a witness. A total of $1675 in items was stolen. Police said the victim was able to name three suspects from the witness' description. 

5) Saturday, July 29 @ 2:29 p.m. - 1400 block of North 6th Street
     A burglary of a habitation was reported at this home. Items stolen include boots and yard equipment. 

6) Saturday, July 29 @ 3:12 p.m. - 1100 block of Plaza Street
     About $180 in cash was stolen out of a wallet inside an unlocked vehicle. A suspect was known, police said.

7) Saturday, July 29 @ 5:33 p.m. - 1100 block of North 15th Street
     Police said a suspect went into the victim's house and stole his wheelchair. It was believed the house was unlocked. 

8) Sunday, July 30 @ 7:16 a.m. - 1100 block of Westheimer Road
     Between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m., police said suspects entered the home and stole electronic items totaling more than $1000.

9) Sunday, July 30 @ 11:49 a.m. - 0 block of Kings Court 
     Residents noticed someone had rummaged through two of their vehicles that were parked in their driveway. Police said the suspect also opened up their garage with a garage door opener that was inside one of the vehicles. Police said unknown amount of cash was missing from one of the vehicles. The victims said both vehicles were locked but there was no sign of forced entry. 

10) Saturday July 29 - Sunday, July 30 - 2900 block of Bennett Drive
     A victim reported that between Saturday and Sunday, someone entered their vehicle which was parked against the curb in front of the victim's home. Stereo equipment was stolen. 

11) Sunday, July 30 @ 5 p.m. - 5900 block of Buffalo Gap Road
     A victim told police their enclosed workshop was burglarized. Hand tools were taken. 

12) Monday, July 31 @ 4 a.m. - 4100 block of North Clack Street
     A north side convenience store was burglarized. When officers arrived, they found the front door unlocked. Video surveillance found that suspects pried the lock on the front door and stole an unknown amount of cigarettes.
