Burglars Targeted Several Abilene Homes on Monday

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - At least five homes were targeted by burglars in Abilene on Monday.

Reports filed with the Abilene Police Department say the burglaries happened at the following locations:

  • 900 block of Burger Street - Just before 7:00 p.m., a resident called police to report she believed her wallet had been taken. No suspects have been identified. 
  • 1300 block of Almond Street - Around 3:45 p.m., a resident reported an unknown suspect broke in and took a TV and DVD player belonging to Rent-A-Center. No evidence left at the scene and no suspects identified. 
  • 4000 block of Monticello Street - A resident told police an unknown suspect entered through an unlocked back door just before 1:30 p.m. and took $1,500 worth of electronics. 
  • 400 block of College Drive - A resident reported that sometime after 9:00 a.m., a suspect forced open the front door of the home and took $2,100 worth of electronics. 
  • 700 block of Berry Lane - Just after 8:00 a.m., the homeowner noticed 10 hand tools worth $1,800 were missing. He told police they were taken sometime over the weekend.
