Cayuga player flown from game to be okay

CAYUGA, Texas (KETK) - A Cayuga football player was flown from the stadium during halftime of their game against Price Carlisle Friday night.

The teams went to halftime with no issue at hand, but at some point, a call for help was made. The student was taken from the stadium by a Trinity Mother Francis helicopter.

A second player was also taken from the game by ambulance in the second quarter.

Late Friday, a statement was posted ot the school's Facebook page. Both athletes are expected to be okay.

Update on injured players:
Chad was evaluated in Palestine and all tests came back clear, so he was released and everything looks like he will be ok.
Casen was taken to Tyler and has a concussion. He is was evaluated for a neck injury and all tests came back negative as well, so he was released late last night.
Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery for both young men, but we are very thankful that neither suffered a neck injury.

After halftime, the decision was made to continue playing the game with the score 52-0.
