Coffee recalled because it contains ingredient similar to Viagra

(KTAB/KRBC) - A brand of coffee has been recalled because it contains an ingredient that's similar to the active ingredient in Viagra. 

Bestherbs Coffee LLC is recalling all lots of their New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee because lab tests revealed it contains desmethyl carbodenafil - a chemical that is structurally similar to sildenafil, according to a press release.

The press release states this ingredient may interact with some prescription medicine, may lower blood pressure, and may cause people with milk allergies to have a reaction. 

"New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee is used as a male enhancement and is packaged in 13 gram red packs, UPC 557205060083 in a box and each box contains 25 packets.  Bestherbs  Coffee LLC distributed this product from July 2014 through June 2016," the press release says.
