Counterfeit cash turns up in 3 places across Abilene Thursday

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Police collected counterfeit cash from three places around Abilene Thursday. 

Reports filed with the Abilene Police Department states the cash was collected from the following locations:

  • Allsup's on the 2100 block of W. Stamford Street - Counterfeit $20 bill passed in the store around 1:00 p.m. Suspect fled the scene before police arrived. 
  • City of Abilene Accounting Office on the 500 block of Walnut Street - The City's accounting office gave police two counterfeit bills from deposits collected from different divisions. Suspects not identified. 
  • Individual on the 3200 block of Ambler Avenue - An individual turned a fake $20 bill into police, which he had received from an exchange with a known suspect. 

No arrests have been made in connection to any of these counterfeit cash reports.
