Documents: Abilene clerk refused to comply with armed robber's commands, stopped crime

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene man is behind bars for a robbery that was stopped by a clerk who refused to comply with commands.

Devon Jackson, 28, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with Aggravated Robbery in connection to the incident that happened in June of 2016.

Court documents state Jackson entered a 7-11, pulled out a pistol, and told the clerk to "empty out the register". 

The clerk said no, and the documents state Jackson replied "come on, man" then eventually left empty-handed after the clerk told him to get out of the store. 

Jackson was later identified in a photo line-up. 

He's being held in jail on a $50,000 bond.
