Documents: Police investigating 3rd suspect who was 'bragging' about Abilene mother's murder

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Police are now investigating a 3rd suspect who is accused of 'bragging' about the murder of an Abilene mother whose body was found at a Callahan County lake in January of 2017. 

During the investigation into the death of Megan Dearman, court documents state four witnesses came forward "saying that they have talked to [the suspect], and she was bragging about assisting in killing Megan Dearman."

The witnesses came forward at different times and were all able to provide specific information about Dearman's murder, including facts that have not been disclosed to the public. 

Two suspects, Justin Bennett and Jennifer Herrod, have already been arrested in connection to the crime and the documents state the 3rd suspect's phone number appeared in both their call logs the day of  Dearman was killed. 

Investigators have filed a search warrant to gain access to information stored on the 3rd suspect's phone on the suspicion they data could contain details on the murder.
