DPS: Man arrested with $370,000 worth of drugs

JACK COUNTY, Texas (TexomasHomepage.com) - A Wichita Falls man is behind bars in Jack county after DPS officials say he was arrested with 370-thousand dollar's worth of meth, cocaine, and marijuana.

32-year-old Jessie Tyrone Stafford is facing six charges, including felony possession of a controlled substance and felony evading arrest with a motor vehicle.

DPS officials say a trooper pulled him over north of U.S. 281 near Jacksboro for a traffic violation.
According to authorities, after the trooper discovered a baggie of marijuana on Stafford, he jumped back in his car and sped off.

During the chase, troopers said Stafford threw several bundles of meth and one bag of cocaine out of the window. He was later arrested on FM 175

DPS officials say the drugs were allegedly being transported from Fort Worth to Wichita Falls.
Stafford's bond is set at 285-thousand dollars.
