Former Taylor County employee accused of stealing up to $30,000 over 10 year period

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A former employee of the Taylor County Juvenile Probation Department is accused of stealing up to $30,000 from the organization over a period of 10 years.

Connie Nichols, 52, was arrested on an Aggregate Theft charge Monday then released from the Taylor County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond.

Court documents state Nichols is accused of taking between $2,500 and $30,000 from the Taylor County Juvenile Probation Department while she was employed by the organization from September of 2007 to April of 2017. 

No further information about the alleged theft has been disclosed. 

KTAB and KRBC reached out to the Taylor County Juvenile Probation Department for additional details, but a representative declined to provide comment due to the active investigation.
