Guardian angel who helped rescue man in rollover crash in Clyde found

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB) - The search for a guardian angel is complete after a Texas mother reaches out to KTAB to help find the man she says saved her son's life.

Debra Phifer's son, Daniel, was in a rollover car crash on Interstate 20 in Clyde as he was on his way back home after working in New Mexico.

"He lost control of the vehicle and he goes into the cable and he said it threw him back into the interstate," explained Phifer.

She credits a good Samaritan near by for helping rescue her son.

"I just want to say thank you," added Phifer.

With a post to social media, the man she calls a guardian angel was found.

He lives at the exact spot her son crashed his Jeep.

"I heard a loud tire screeching and metal clanging and I grabbed my Crocs and ran outside," Jimmy Duff stated.

That's when he saw the mangled jeep.

He says he sprung into action and helped cut Daniel out of his car.

Tonight, Duff and Debra Phifer finally were able to get connected and speak on the phone. Phifer, overcome with emotion, finally was able to give a proper thank you to the man who she says "saved her baby."
