Halloween dinner raising money for Abilene child who had open heart surgery after birth

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A fundraiser featuring trick-or-treating, princesses, superheroes, and of course. . . good food will raise money for a little Abilene girl who underwent open heart surgery just after birth. 

100% of all proceeds from Pasta with a Purpose, taking place at Wylie Early Childhood Center from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on October 21, 2017, will be donated to the family of Layla S. 

A social media post from the Abilene Police Department states, "Little Lyla S. underwent open heart surgery days after arriving into this world."

The event to benefit Lyla will feature a spaghetti dinner, games, trick-or-treating, a cake walk, and special guest Princesses and Superheroes. Attendees are invited to wear costumes.
