North Abilene homicide victim killed from apparent gunshot to chest

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The victim of a north Abilene homicide was killed from an apparent gunshot to the chest, according to police.

A press release from the Abilene Police Department states Teahoga Glover was transported to the hospital in a private automobile with a police escort following the shooting at a home on the 1900 block of Swenson Street just after 3:00 a.m. He later passed away due to the extent of his injuries.

Willie Pruitt, 32, was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter in connection to the crime. He's now being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

UPDATE: Police said late Thursday afternoon that the weapon used in the shooting was found near the dam at Ft. Phantom Lake. 

Additional details on the shooting have not been released.
