Hurricane Harvey evacuees can wash clothes for free at Abilene laundromat

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene Laundromat is giving Hurricane Harvey evacuees a chance to clean their clothing free of charge.

Wash This Way, located at 3458 N. 10th Street, is opening its doors to all evacuees staying in the Abilene area who need to do laundry.

The owner of Wash This Way told KTAB and KRBC he was approached by the Salvation Army Tuesday, and after learning the organization had taken in over two dozen evacuees, he decided to help.

He says other evacuees, staying at the Expo Center, the State Park, with family members, or anywhere else in the area are also welcome to do some free loads.

Evacuees just need to speak with an attendant to get help once they arrive at the laundromat.

Wash This Way is open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 7 days a week.
