Indicted: Abilene man accused of firing gun into home full of children

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene man accused of firing two shots into a home with four children inside has been indicted. 

Christopher Guzman, 33, was indicted for Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Deadly Conduct during a Grand Jury session on Thursday. 

Court documents state two men were outside a south Abilene home when Guzman showed up and threatened them with a firearm in February of 2016.

One man pointed a firearm back at the suspect before both victims retreated inside, according to the documents. which states Guzman then began kicking the front door saying "he was going to kill everyone." A resident inside looked at the window and saw him holding a pistol while making the threats, the documents state. 

After Guzman started making threats, a man inside the home fired two shots out the front door. The documents state two shots were then fired back into the residence, one of which landed in a bathroom just feet from four children in the next room.

Police arrived on scene after Guzman fled and recovered a shell casing believed to be fired from his bullet.
