Indicted: Abilene Man Accused of Inappropriately Touching Child

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene man accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old child has been indicted.

A Taylor County Grand Jury indicted Fernando Monroy, 35, on an Indecency with a Child charge Wednesday for an incident that was reported to authorities in November of 2014.

Court documents say police began investigating after a father came forward and claimed his child had been touched inappropriately by Monroy.

The child was able to describe the inappropriate contact to detectives during an interview, according to the documents.

The documents state the child made an outcry of assault two months after the alleged incident occurred.

Monroy was arrested on March 5, 2017, then released from jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
