Indicted: Two Abilene Residents Accused of Counterfeiting Cash

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Two Abilene residents accused of creating counterfeit cash have been indicted.

A Taylor County Grand Jury indicted Nicolas Norgaard and Shaila Pendley, both 20, for one count of Forgery each in connection to counterfeit cash that was discovered at their home in December of 2016.

Court documents say several counterfeit $50 bills were discovered in the duo's home when detectives with the Abilene Police Department executed a search warrant on the property in December of 2016.

Chemicals used in the counterfeiting process were discovered at the home as as well, according to the documents, which say Norgaard "admitted to making counterfeit bills". 

Both suspects were released from the Taylor County Jail soon after their arrests after posting a $12,500 bond each.
