JCPenney in Early Closing, Abilene Store Safe

A list released Friday morning confirms one Big Country JCPenney is among 138 stores set to close as the corporation attempts to make financial gains.

The JCPenney store in the Heartland Mall in Early, Texas, was one of nine Texas stores on the list, but the JCPenney store at the Mall of Abilene was not included.
