CISCO, Texas (KRBC)- Cisco College welcomed 15 new freshman to their 2017 Rodeo Team.
For the past three years, Cisco College's Rodeo Coach has been building the reputation of a new and improved team.
"Kids want to come here because they want to get better", said Don Ed Eddleman, Cisco's Rodeo Coach.
Today, the team signed 15 new members to the team.
"We started out with 20 the first year, this year we had about 34, and there will be 40 to 50 with this class coming in", explained Eddleman.
The seniors who signed at Cisco College told KRBC they are excited and thrilled to be a part of the rodeo team.
"I am very excited, and within three years it has already grown this much so I am excited to see in the future where it goes", said Brighlon Kilpatrick, an Abilene Native who just signed.
The Cisco College President also told KRBC that the program under Eddleman has really grown and he believes that it will continue to grow.
With the newest 15, Eddleman believes that next years team will be unstoppable.
"There are probably three or four kids that are the top ten recruits of the nation." Said Eddleman.
And of those 15, Eddleman has seen the majority grow up within the "rodeo world".
"This is a special group for me because when I took this job and started it, a lot of these kids I've known since they were 8 or 9 years old from riding and roping." Explained Eddleman.
