Local Nursery Hoping to Bring Peace to Fire Victims

BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB) - After the shocking fire at Camelot Apartments, most of the community is still trying to help the victims recover. One business owner is doing her part in helping them.

Christy Scott is the new owner of the 21-year-old Nursery. She took over the business at the beginning of the year. She tells KTAB News after seeing the fire on the news and hearing what they went through she wanted to do what she could to help.

She says God laid it on her heart to help them out and that she hopes that the monetary donation will help ease the pain of losing all that they lost.

"Maybe their faith is being tried, maybe they don't know who to ask, or what else they need, we are hoping to help with that," said Scott.

The Nursery will have its grand opening this Saturday, March 3rd. They will be open from 9- 4. A portion of the day's sales will go directly to the families.

Scott hopes that the community of Brownwood will show up and help her, help them.

Tree's Forever Nursery is a full-service Nursery selling, plants, shrubs, flowers, commercial and residential landscaping and is located at 3803 Hwy 377 South, in Brownwood.
