Love and Care Ministries to Open Third Location

"We came out here and we started going door to door with our ministry and feeding people and loving and caring on people and I think the area of Clyde has been wanting us to come out here," said Love and Care Ministries associate director Zack Hewitt.

Wanting due to the lack of resources within the community.

"Well we know there's a huge need. And we know there' s not any organization that is set u to do this type of ministry in Clyde. Some churches had clothing closets and some food banks but it still was not adequate to meet the needs we have in Clyde" said Toby Henson, the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Clyde.

That's why the First Baptist Church of Clyde teamed up with Love and Care Ministries to meet the needs of the community.

"Any kind of food boxes for families, any types of clothing, household items," said Hewitt.

"I think it's great for the community of Clyde as well. As you can tell, the economy and everything is going down and people need help with financial resources, food, or clothing or things like that. People might be struggling," said Hewitt.

How did Love and Care Ministries know to reach out to the community of Clyde?

"I think we just listen to God's plan. He tells us where to go and we listen and we go," said Hewitt.
