LUBBOCK, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A Lubbock teen who went missing while on vacation with her family in Colorado has been found safe.
A press release from the Colorado Springs Police Department says Adalie Rivera, 13, was located in Dumas, Texas, after she got off a coal train she had boarded in Colorado Springs.
Rivera had, "made her way to a coal train in the Colorado Springs Metro area, which she boarded and traveled to a farm community near Dumas", according to the press release, which says a local farmer found her "covered in coal dust and was hungry after running out of Skittles."
Rivera was missing for over five days before she was rescued by a local farmer who found her when she got off the train.
Family members were able to retrieve her from Dumas.
The press release also states that, "at this point of the investigation, there is no reason to believe Adalie’s disappearance was criminal."
