Only 2 weeks left to claim $14.25 million lottery ticket sold at Abilene HEB

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A $14.25 million lottery ticket sold at Abilene's HEB has remained unclaimed for nearly 6 months, leaving only 2 weeks left for the winner to come forward.

The last day the ticket can be claimed is Thursday, December 14, 2017, though the deadline could be extended for "eligible" military personnel, according to a Texas Lottery representative.

If the money is not claimed, this representative says the funds will "revert back to the state for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature."

In September, HEB, located on Barrow Street, received a retailer bonus of $142,696.06 for selling the winning ticket. They will get to keep this money regardless if the winner comes forward.

The winning ticket matched the following six numbers drawn on June 17, 2017: 3 4 6 23 34 54.

At the time of purchase, the winner selected the cash value option and will receive a lump-sum payment of $10,072,040.86 once the prize is claimed.
