Pie Fest in Cisco, TX Kicks Off This Weekend

CISCO, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Cisco, Texas is gearing up for their Pie Fest this Friday and Saturday.

The Cisco Pie Fest will kick off with a chicken pot pie dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 9.  The dinner will cost $8 at the door, and children under 8 eat free.  There will also be a free concert at the pavilion.  At 8 p.m. the Sweetie Pie Street Dance will take place. The dance is also free.

Saturday, June 10, will be full of activities all day long.  Starting at 7 a.m., contestants can register for the Cisco Pie Pacers 5k/10k race. The race will begin at 8 a.m. Fees for pre-registering are $25 for anyone 11 years old and up, and $15 for ages 10 and under.  Fees for  day of race registration are $30 for anyone 11 years and older, and $20 for children 10 and under.

At 9 a.m. Pie Central Station will open.  Here you can purchase t-shirts, tickets and bracelets for various activities and get information about anything going on during Pie Fest. At this time the pie baking contest will also begin, with judging happening later in the day. There is a $10 fee per entrance for the pie baking contest.

At 10 a.m. the all-you-can-eat pie buffet will open. The buffet is $15 for unlimited, or $8 for a single piece.

Gates to the Great American Pie Concert will open at 5:30 p.m. at the Cisco Municipal Airport, with the concert beginning at 7 p.m.  The concert will feature Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Red Shahan and Callahan Divide. Tickets are $15 if purchased prior to the gates opening, or $22 at the gate.  Parking is $5, which benefits the Cisco Lions Club.  There is a $25 cooler fee.
