Police: Abilene homicide victim was only shot once

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - The victim of a homicide in north Abilene early Thursday morning was only shot one time, according to the Abilene Police Department. 

Abilene police issued a press release that states a rumor that the victim, Teahoga Glover, was shot twice has been circulating on social media, and that information is incorrect. 

A preliminary autopsy report confirms Glover was only shot once, according to the press release. 

Glover was transported to the hospital in a private automobile with a police escort following the shooting at a home on the 1900 block of Swenson Street just after 3:00 a.m. He later passed away due to the extent of his injuries.

Willie Pruitt, 32, was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter in connection to the crime. He's now being held in the Taylor County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

The murder weapon was found at Lake Ft. Phantom Hill over twelve hours after Glover was killed.

Additional details on the shooting have not been released.
