Police report: Nearly $5,000 stolen from Dyess Spouses Club

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Nearly $5,000 in cash was stolen from the Dyess Spouses Club by a former member, according to a report filed with the Abilene Police Department.

The report also indicated the former member is also accused of using a debit card for person use without the approval of the organization. The total amount of cash taken was $4,471.35, according to the police report. 

Representatives from the Dyess Spouses Club filed the report Thursday morning.

According to the organization's website, its mission is to provide social and service opportunities for the Dyess community. Members include spouses of active duty, reserve or retired military. Also, spouses of Dyess civilian employees and widows of service members can be members.
